    Yes, homemade works a lot better.
    I have often bought the store stuff, waste of my money.

    This is great for woodpeckers as they can brace their tail on the bottom and really go at it.

    Today it has been popular with Bluebirds, Pine Warblers, Downy Woodpeckers, Red-bellied Woodpeckers, and others. The homemade here at my Catbird House is in more demand, but the other is good, just ordered more. I have never seen it at Tractor Supply.

    Since I am far too lazy to make any I will order from Amazon. I have done a piss poor job with my feeders lately. I filled them up last week and they stayed full for days and then were empty. The birds showed me that my slack ass slow to refill feeders causes them to look elsewhere for food. I have 4 pretty large feeders but they can get drained in a day once the birds know the seed is there.
