    Georgia Recruiting 2020

Kind of funny right now is GT#10 is leading Georgia #12.

It is way early as often the top players sign late because they can. Lesser players grab on when a good offer arrives. Numbers matter, but quality and fitting the need is the big deal.
Last year Clemson made top ten as they took a lot, but this year will only take maybe 20.

Georgia is currently 12th in the nation, so doing great as they have so far only taken 7 players and all are 5 or 4 star. They have brought in some huge linemen, a great WR and Carson Beck, a top QB from Florida. I am surprised Clemson was never in the hunt for this guy most thought would go to Florida.

GT is rebuilding as they step into modern football. They have so far taken some nice players. They have a great looking Pro style QB in Tucker Gleason. It is a new age there.

Tech is probably moving up some with the new coach. I hope he abandons the chop blocking teaching method that has caused so many injuries to opponents. "If you can't block them, cripple them!"

I think they will make some noise with the new coach and that is good. I don't believe they will be able to hang with the Dawgs or Tigers.

Georgia is currently at #5, and of course it is too early to even keep stats now.
Today Georgia got DT Jalen Carter.
As Clemson already has 4 and Alabama has 4, the deal was between Georgia and Auburn.

This is a big time player.
He sees Georgia as a good place to improve him as a player and academically. He likes that Athens is socially great place to be.

The biggest deal is always the QB.
Presently Georgia may have the best QB in the nation in Fromn.
For 2020 they have Carson Beck on board.

He is physically better than most any. He will develop and might be the best ever at Georgia.
He is raw, but with Georgia could soon be a Heisman candidate.

Yesterday, this announcement came out.... One of the most-coveted defensive lineman recruits in the 2020 class has trimmed his list of potential schools to three.

Jalen Carter, a four-star defensive tackle out of Apopka, Fla., announced his top schools late on Sunday night.
The elite prospect’s top schools: Alabama, Clemson, Georgia.

Today, he announced his choice. "I am 100% committed to UGA"

This was big for Georgia but they still have lots of ground to make up on Clemson's amazing 2020 class.

Good week for the Dawgs and Tigers.

    ****************

A guy who left the Georgia fold, DT Warren Brinson, has returned. He committed, reneged, waited for a Clemson offer which did not arrive, so recommitted to Georgia. He had offers from Alabama, everybody, and has (again) chosen Georgia.
He is a 4 or 5 star depending on where you look. After being at the prestigious IMG Academy, he is the real deal and a future NFL player.

    *******************

As safety from Anderson signed with Clemson.

Depending where you look he is a 2 or 3 star guy. (His Pop is a 10star.)
He is a good player, the best on his team and is now "All In". That is the requirement at Clemson, "all in or all out". The Coaches will not accept a kid until he is "All In".
So why does this commitment mean as much to Tiger Nation as the 5 star to Georgia?
He was recruited and signed by Coach V.

Coach Venables is on record as saying he can't ask his sons' to commit if he isn't doing so, himself.
Welcome to Clemson for the next 5 years Tyler Venables (and his Pop).
