    Georgia vs LSU

    Georgia vs LSU

Georgia is crushing teams so far like no other team in the nation is.
LSU lost to Florida last week.

To be honest, Georgia has not yet played a strong team. That does not mean they would not have crushed them too.

LSU beat Miami and Auburn. They lost to Florida, but maybe Florida is OK this year as they also beat MSST and are 5-1.

The current line is 7.5. Played at Georgia that would shift to 15.

On paper Georgia is the clear winner, but the game will be played on a field and LSU has played against stiffer competition.
Both teams can run and pass. Both teams can defend.

At QB Georgia has a clear advantage, but LSU is OK.
At RB Georgia has a clear advantage, but LSU is OK.
    Georgia has better receivers.
Georgia has the better "O" line, but maybe not the better "D" line.
Both teams are OK behind the "D" line.

Can Georgia loose this game? Between the hedges I would say no, but at LSU with the Golden Girls distracting - maybe.

Georgia has played some pretty good teams in SC, Missouri, TN and Vanderbilt but the meat of the schedule is squarely in front of them. A very strong 4 teams in a row with LSU, Florida, Kentucky and Auburn. The Dawgs have not played a complete game yet but it will have to have everything clicking in each of those games. The OL is banged up and will not be at their best. The DL has not been very dominant so that is a worry. Both quarterbacks will probably be needed. Both are great and have different skill sets that defenses have to prepare for and this is a big plus! The running back stable is loaded and rivals any in the country but the OL will have to perform better.

The rest of the season is going to be very tense. GO DAWGS!

By the way, somebody needs to beat Notre Dame. They are going to be in the FF if they run the table.

Those are historically famous teams, but are they good? Just being in the SEC means less this decade.

You are right. That is what makes CFB so much fun. Early on are some cupcakes and then things crank up.
I believe if Georgia gets by @ LSU they are safe until the SEC Championship game. That looks to be Alabama.
They need to be 12-0 before that game as does Alabama if both want into the Final Four. Loosing any regular season game and also the SEC Championship equals two losses and might be too much this year.

The difference in this game was the play of LSU QB Burrow. He had a great game. He passed as well as Fromm and also made some crucial runs.
    Fromm was intercepted twice.

For some reason Georgia balanced their attack and ran 30 times for 113 yards. LSU ran the ball 51 times which enabled them to run more plays. Their run total was 275.

    Georgia also lost 2 fumbles.

Georgia loosing at LSU is not a huge upset. They are still in the hunt for the FF, but now cannot loose another game which means they must win the Championship Game. They get a week off now and them play Florida. I think they will be OK.

Games left are Florida and Kentucky who are doing good, but no match for Georgia (if they run the ball). Auburn and GT are a mess this year, so no worries there. Georgia will have to win the Conference Championship now, or at least loose in overtime. I don't see Alabama as unbeatable. I believe Georgia can take them.

Georgia had a bad day in all aspects of the game. Fromm was off and Fields wasn't given any series to show what he can do. Just come in for one play and hand the ball off and then back to the sidelines. This was repeated over and over in the 2nd half. They did not seem to trust the young man to throw the ball or run/pass option. The defense could not stop the run and LSU's Burrow had a great game. Our receivers had some key drops. LSU is too good for you to have a bad game and expect to win.

Now, their backs are against the wall. No more losses including the SEC championship game or they are out of the FF.

Some more undefeated teams are bound to fall over the next 4 weeks.

    Go Dawgs!
