We are going to Jackson Hole in July. We will hike for 6 days and drink at the microbrewery 6 nights. I just got a smaller set of binoculars from Carson. The seem pretty good. I have an old set I got for Christmas when I was about 14. They cost $35.00 then and that was with my dad getting them from a friend who got close out or bought surplus. Those are extremely good but too big and heavy. My new ones are 10x25. They have coated lenses and like I said seem to work well. I need to see bears before they can smell me. Which Hoka did you get to race in. I have the original Clifton and still have a pair in the box. They only weigh 7.5 oz and they are really soft.

I am a fan of binos, have posted as to them many times.
Marty you have played with my Rangers in Matthews. 30 years later they are still my choice on the dock and boat. Good binos last forever.

Yes they are fun to use. I also have a DVD video camera with a 40 power digital zoom. They are amazing. Don't use them enough. If I get down your way I will bring it. If you mount it on a tripod for stability you will not believe what you can see. 50 feet or more away I can see scratches on a screw with detail. I might take those out west too.
