    Carolina Wren

A couple weeks back my Wrens laid eggs in a make shift power box behind my fish pond. All that nesting material may cause a fire, but WTF - Wrens come first around here.

I keep out freeze dried meal worms and nobody eats them.
That has changed. The Wrens are feeding the baby birds with them. Everyday I put some in the butterfly dish and add water. They prefer the wet ones as I suppose baby birds need water and protein.

My favorite year-round bird is my Carolina Wrens. They sing like jungle birds. They are very friendly.
Unfortunately their constant quest to find spiders keeps them in the danger zone of my 3 cats.

I hope always for harmony and a good out come.
Here one is at 50 foot with my cheap camera.

The photo above is not too good, but shows how I build my bird feeders.
I lay a layer of hardware cloth for support and cover it with screen wire.
The result is a floor that drains well and one the birds can hop around on.
I am the only guy in a tie
