First really cold night down to maybe 20 will be tomorrow night. I use the first hard freeze as a sign to start Winter clean up. That puts all the things that should be dormant to sleep. Here is a photo of a bed with some pansies that will be standing tall around March. The green grass in there is actually from Hyacinths I put in last year just for this. It stays green all Winter, kinda like green mulch, and in Spring sends up flowers. It spreads quickly, so next Winter this bed should be all green I have Daffodils and Daylilies sprouting, this should stop that. I also have a few fallen trees to cut up, and I can't get my chain saw started. That sounds like an omen for me to just go fishing tomorrow.
