I have 4 Blue Bird eggs on the dock.
One more egg may be coming.
Every year they do 3 broods there of 4 or 5 eggs.
Over a 100 have fledged out of that house.

We always had Purple Martins & Bluebirds when I was growing up as my Dad was an excellent carpenter & liked birds. I've chased a few black snakes off the fence post where we had a Bluebird box. They are tiny but will BRUTALLY defend their nests against all regardless of size (had my hair pulled on a few occasions when I got too close to the box).
The Martins were entertaining; loud & exuberant. Loved to watch them catching insects on the wing & being social.
