Summer Tanager
Today in the yard I have the Summer Tanager. I see them every year, but never the male, just females. I have a couple in the privet outside my bed room window. One reason I just see females may be I have so many Cardinals, males are not attracting my attention when one shows:fatigue:. The males are red all over.
Here is a photo (not mine but I have some somewhere).

This is a large bird with a big beak. They eat bees and wasps and most insects. They Winter into Central and South America. Most times I see them toward Fall, don't know if they are moving through, but I have seen them in mid Summer some years.

I hate days when I get up early. By Noon I am worn out.
I got some spider bites that have me swelled up, probably from the mater bushes this morning.
On the plus side in the yard is a Summer Tanager up from Panama.
I most times see a yellow female and not the red male.
These guys are insect eaters, including catching wasps on the fly. They love a juicy wasp nest.
Maybe this one will eat the spiders that bit me? I hope so.
