Here is another good reason why no snakes are welcome at my home.
Looked out the window, and this guy was perched on one of my Humming Bird feeders waiting on a meal to fly up.:chargrined::disgust:

Yes and hummingbirds are so fixated on that nectar and fighting off each other that they may not notice the snake! Last week, I was sitting two feet from a feeder and a hummingbird almost lit on my head as a perch to guard his feeder.
OK now this guy has been hanging around all day. My cat has checked him out and quickly lost interest. I can't see a downside to just letting him go, so that's what I did.

Well in spite of leaving the gate open for over a week and the little critter running out once, the fawn is still living in my back yard. It has gotten much bigger and can now run like a bat out of hell. My elderly neighbors are fascinated and are always out in their yards looking of the fawn.
