Sunday, so I slogged outside for 5 miles in Nature's Church. It was uplifting, but I won't mind when the temps of Summer fade some. Heat used to have little effect on me, but old age and more fat have changed that.

After chores made it to the porch.
A "Swamp Warbler" showed to take a bath in my branch. I rarley see one here, last time was 2004 (I keep notes).
This got my heart beat higher than coming up that last steep hill this morning (nearly killed me).

This is a beautiful bird that stands out. I suspect he may already be migrating and stopped by for the water. These are in decline, but lots in lower SC.

The real name is Prothonotary Warbler, got its name from the bright yellow robes worn by papal clerks, known as prothonotaries, in the Roman Catholic church.

Thi is the only Eastern Warbler that nests in cavities such as old Woodpecker holes.
If a fledgling Prothonotary Warbler lands in the water after its first flight, it can swim to safety.
I got some decent photos. Hope he don't wait 15 years to show again.
