Birds not yet seeing today usually out here are Kinglet and Red-breasted Nuthatch. I doubt migration has begun, so sure they will show. No Chickadees yet so the flock is somewhere.
One I have seldom seen this Winter is the Yellow-rumped Warbler, as as noted not even one Junco.
Right now would say around my pond area is a hundred birds, mostly Sparrows and Finch, but many others. My Sparrow population is down this year, but still lots. Pine Siskins have made up the difference.
This has been a wet Winter and not brutal cold. I suspect bugs will be plentiful, good for the birds.

Soon birds will care less as to the feeders as they will want meat (bugs). Even Hummingbirds feed the hatchlings bugs as protein is needed.
I'll still draw some birds in for viewing with the suet mix. My Wrens eat freeze dried meal worms and will take them to the nest.

In the large mega-pixel version, almost good enough to frame. A little developing in photoshop would reveal the eyes better. I think the eye makes things more interesting. In one I posted last week you can see the sky reflected in the full version before compression.

For sure! I noticed on the maps that we are just on or barely off the tip edge of the year-round range in Clayton. But, I have seen one a couple of times in recent weeks.

I saw one this morning in Toccoa!
